Happy Belated Thanksgiving and catch up

Yeah....so surprise surprise - I disappeared again.  Want to hear my excuse?  Well, I went to San Diego for a week after NYC and then I got a little sick - sore throat and a cough.  Once I got back to Tucson, I was still tired from my cold and I had a TON of laundry to do and lots of things to catch up with at work. So that's why I've been MIA.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I spent the day with Sarah and her parents and all our doggies.  It was a wonderfully relaxing day filled with delicious food.

Ok, here you go - picture recap from what you missed out on.

A trip to Macy's - of course!  After we walked through a not so nice part of town.  Oh well, it was worth it!

Red stairs at Times Square!

Yahoo....Broadway!

Mom - 2nd in line!

Billy Elliot tickets!

30 Rock xmas tree - just put up!

30 rock building...we went up to the top!

View from the top.  Beautiful Central Park with changing of leaves.

Empire State Building

Family photo op.  This took FOREVER to get right.  We kept asking people to take our picture and they would just get us without the pretty landscape in the background.

Quick Recap.  With only a few photos.  Will add more later.  Literally about to run out the door to dinner and then to Billy Elliot!

Dad and I in front of The Met.  Dancing waters...

Yummy NYC hotdog lunch on the steps of the Met.

Central Park - view from the castle.
Oh how I miss fall, living in Tucson.

Highline park - a park built on an old above street level railroad, located a block from where we are staying.

Obvious.  But notice the level of grey smog at approximately skyline level.

Audiotour at Ellis Island.  Happy Family!

NYC - still here

We are still here - out and about and having fun!
Haven't had a chance to post lately due to the above and slow Internet.
I'll try to post this afternoon/evening of possible.
There's a little scheduled downtime in our day, but somehow that tends to disappear pretty quickly!

Have a good day!

Fall Family Craft Fillozes Day O'Fun

First - woah - that is one big dog butt!!  I didn't realize that it would be so big when posting from my iphone.  Hopefully, it'll make for some good vacation photos soon.

Ok - on to Fall Family Craft Fillozes Day O'Fun.  I made a quick trip home about a month ago to surprise both my gma and my dad and for a day filled with fun.

First up was making Portuguese donuts.  Let's just say, I messed up the recipe, but we ended up saving it. No it was not as good as the one's grandma makes, but they still ended up pretty good.  Part of the trouble, as grandma said was there were too many cooks in the kitchen.

Colby mixing our batter.  Whip it, whip it good!

Our recent college grad, making donuts as you can see is very serious business.  So is the fear of burning yourself with hot oil!

A gooey one, just the way Aunt Ed likes them.  But...since she was too cool for Fall Family Craft Fillozes Day O'Fun and instead as at Disneyland, I ate the gooey donut instead.  Yum!

I will admit - Colby is the best donut maker in the family, after grandma that is!
Here you see a master at work, spreading out the dough so nicely.

mmm....mmmm....mmmm... good

Next up - Fall craft - 5 minute pumpkins, NOT, more like 30 minute pumpkins.

My mom found a tutorial online for these quick and easy pumpkins. Well let's just say they weren't as easy as the blogger made it sound.  But...we put our heads together and found a way to make it work, as you can see below:

Cute!

Butt Curls!

Lazy dog. I'm posting this from my phone so we'll see how it works out. This is a practice post I'm hoping it works because I have vacation coming up & want to share pics as I go!
