Day#109: Penny's Staycation

So a week from Sunday, I will be leaving on vacation.  A not so smart plan is that I am taking my dog sitter with me!
I found a new one.  Penny and I went to go visit her doggie condo where she will be staying.  It is with one of the nurses in the clinic.  She has 3 small dogs.  They have a doggy door that leads outside and opens up on the inside into a fenced in tiled area.  There are 3 little doggy beds in there and water.  Penny's bed will fit in perfectly.  I'll bring a few of her toys as well - of course her cell phone so she can call me on my vacation.

Sief bought a piece of original art from a local artist who's work is displayed at the Tucson Tamale Company. I think it's perfect for a game room someday. Too bad it wasn't Mrs. Pac Man because that's my game!

Day #104: Penny's Birthday Party!

Penny turned 6 this last week.  Today was her birthday party.
We held it this morning at the Reid Park Dog Park.
Where her friends came out to play with her.  She even made a couple of new friends and got presents!! presents!

Sief made new friends at the dog park as well!

Her birthday cake.  It is a dog friendly cake - made with Carob and Peanut Butter.

And, I know you are wondering - no Penny is not spoiled.

Vegan nachos - with nacho cheeze anyone?  

Yup - no dairy, but seriously tastes just like that liquidy nacho cheese you get from the movie theaters or a baseball game.  Ok, it tastes a little better and....it's better for you :)

Today was Penny's 2 year adoptive birthday!
It started with a sunrise walk. Buster and Bart woke us up early. That was their present to her.
Then she waited patiently by her cell phone for happy birthday calls!

I can't believe it's only been 2 years. I feel like I've had Penny for at least 5!!!

The new game on my iphone/ipad is Draw Something.  It's basically dictionary between two people.

Haha - neither could I.  I had to pass on this one.  It's a brain and she stands by that it is anatomically correct.  And I must give her some credit, because when I showed Sief this - he was "oh, it's a brain"
