Official race day photos

Here are some pictures from the marathon, while running it.  There was a lot of excitement in the beginning and as you'll see that as the miles dragged on, I look less enthused.

Since the marathon, I sadly have only ran twice.  Partly because the weather has been so cold here.  I went out last week for a quick 20 minute run.  It felt great - like I was greeting an old friend.  As spring warms up, I'm sure I'll be out on the river path again, but for now - I have a new passion, indoor rock climbing.  More on that later.

Here are some pics from race day.

Early on in the race - about 4-5 miles in.  We are running down Main Street about to enter the castle!

Castle in the background.  It was so beautiful.

Yeah - still having fun.  I know the camera is there and put on a show :)

Past mile 18 - this is at ESPN world of sports complex.  Not so excited.

In the parking lot somewhere between two parks.  At least I look better than the lady next to me.

Still moving, somehow.

Moving slower now.

FINISH LINE!!! :)

Yahoo!!!  I survived.
You can see Mickey in the background.  I high-fived him right before this :)

We did it!

Snow in the desert

It snowed in Tucson today and is snowing currently.
Below are pictures. The ones with snow covered ground Sarah took at her place today.
I came home after work and it wasn't snowing but was cold out and penny refused to go outside, well I just went to let Buster out for the night and it is snowing more and now he refuses to go outside. Oh what fun. Haha

Yeah snow!

The dark picture is from my balcony at night. The mountains are beautiful when the clouds clear and you can catch a glimpse. I'll try to get a picture tomorrow.

Vacation Continued

Post-vacation laziness has set in since being back - that's why I haven't been blogging.
I actually haven't been too busy at work.  I've been enjoying the fact that I don't have to wake up early to run.  I can sleep in all snuggled warm in my bed, especially because it was pretty chilly here in the mornings when I first got back.

Ok, back to vacation pictures.

Post-marathon - I flew back to Tucson and Ryann (my college roommate) came out for a visit.

At 7 Falls - there are waterfalls behind us, but apparently the guy who took our picture didn't realize that we might have wanted those in the picture.  Oh well.
7-8 mile hike in Sabino Canyon.

Below are pictures from the Tucson Desert Museum.
It is a must see when visiting Tucson.  It's almost like a desert zoo.
Aunties you will be going here in April when you come to visit.  :)

Mountain Lion

Prairie Dogs
These guys are my absolute favorite part of the museum.
I could spend all day watching them. They are so funny to watch.

Frogs? Toads?

Tucson Desert

After Ryann left, I flew back to California.  Sief and I climbed at Pipeworks, the climbing gym in Sacramento and then we drove down to Monterey.  We went to the aquarium and saw lots of cool fishes and things.

Sief touching a sea cucumber.

Jellies - the best part of the aquarium.
Again, I could have spent the entire day watching the jelly fish.

These little guys were my favorite.  They bee bop around and are so cute and pudgy!

Last stop on the vacation was San Francisco.  Dim sum of course, ferry building farmer's market, and celebratory dinner for moving home.  I had my parents take me to a fancy vegetarian (or maybe totally vegan) restaurant, Millennium.  It was great!
