More catching up

Day #273:  Bart and Sarah

Pic with my new digital Nikon SLR that I got for xmas from my parents!  :)

Day #274:  Christmas Card

If I had a Christmas card this year - this would be the picture.  Minus the messiness of my house in the background.

Day #275:  Buster Nose

Fancy new camera - means lots of pictures of wiener dogs.

Day #276:  In Case you Were Curious

My Christmas Tree --> Certified Environmentally Friendly.

Day #277: Christmas Angel

This is the angel that sat atop the Christmas tree all during my childhood.
This is the first year that my own personal tree has had a topper :)
For the last 2 years it has been topless.

Day #278: Salty Swoosh

My gross running hat after an 18 miler.  The white outline of the swoosh is from my sweat.

Day #279:  Adventure Penny

Picture of Penny in a concrete tunnel at our new favorite dog park.  This dog park mixes big and little dogs together.  It's a little bit more stressful for the wieners, but they are learning to get along well with the big dogs.  My favorite is when Buster barks at the big dogs who are minding their own business playing with each other.  They are completely ignoring him, but I think he gets upset because he thinks they are playing too rough.  Haha.  He reminds me of a yard duty at recess blowing their whistle.

Day #280: Adventure Buster

He's running in the "river" from the Rillito River Path.

Day #281: Veggies

Veggies sitting on my new awesome veggie drying mat that I got for Christmas from my Aunt Sara.  Thanks Aunt Sara.

Day #282: FaceTime Present Opening

Christmas morning - Present time!

Day #283: Another Sunrise Run

Day #284: Winter in Tucson

Penny ready to go outside in the cold.  This was when she was staying at her Auntie Sarah's house.
I asked Sarah what Penny was looking at and she said nothing - that she was mad at Sarah for something and wasn't willing to look at her.  Haha

Day #285:  Chai Tea Latte

Day #286: Penny's new everyday harness

She says thanks Grandma Kerri!
People at the dog park still call it a vest.

Day #287:  Javelina

Artwork in the clinic in Safford.  This one was my favorite, I think because of all the bright color.s

Day #288: Moved into our new clinic

We just moved into a new family medicine clinic.
Sarah, Megan, and I.

Day #289: Jelly belly's

A Christmas gift from one of my patient's.  A jar of jelly beans.
It sits in my locker at work for snack time during those long clinics!

Day #290:  Tug-o-war

Grr...ruff...grr

Day #291: Signing my Contract!!

Signing a contract for my first official job after residency!
I'm coming home!  Back to Chico.  Yahoo.
So if anyone knows of a rental house that takes dogs, has a dog door, a garden, and will let me have chickens - let me know.  Thanks

Day #292: Christmas Eve Run

18 miler on Christmas Eve
Post run picture with our 3rd running partner - Penny.
She likes to sit in the car while we run.  She is soooo helpful

Over 100 days of catching up to do!

I promised I would catch up.  I will do my best and hopefully will not repeat any pictures.  Here is a barrage of pics for the last 100+ days that I have cut out on you.

Day #256: Scavenger Dash - Take 2

Sarah and I participated in a Scavenger Hunt/run in Tucson, as we did in 2010.  We did not win, but we did better this year!  This is one of the photo's we had to get - the 2 of us jumping.  This is one of about 10 that it took to finally get it so both of our feet appeared to be coming off the ground.

Day #257: A Thanksgiving Lesson

it is important to remember that you are wearing an apron when you go to the bathroom.  Why you ask?  Well because if you do not remember - you'll quickly figure it out when you return to the kitchen and wonder why the ends of the tie in the back of your apron are wet.  Yup...gross.

Day #258: ThanksLIVING

Plant Based (aka Vegan) Thanksliving meal.
A mushroom/veggie dish, massaged kale salad, and mushroom and sundried tomato risotto.
Delicious.

Vegan Pumpkin Pie with cashew cream.
Yup - basically vegan cool whip and I made it!
Had to use something called guar gum to make it work :)

Day #259: The Impossible

Please take note that it says - "Total Active Tasks: 0"
This is an amazing feat - earlier in the week, it was at 95.

Day #260: Not that my vote means much in Arizona

Day #261: Snuggle Bug

Just in case you were going through Penny withdrawal!
Here she is all snuggled up in her little bed.

Day #262: The Southwest

Gotta love the Southwest and the vibrant colors!

Day #263: REI splurge

Not surprising - I spend waaayyy too much money and time at REI.  Not a good thing since the store is literally 3 minutes from my house.  Here you will find my climbing investment - shoes, chalk ball, S-binder to clip my chalk bag to my harness, and the circular thing is a forearm trainer.  Helps to make my forearms stronger.  I saved money by making my own chalk bag.  Which reminds me - I better take a pic of that to post.

Day #264: Sunrise Run

A pretty good reason to get up in the morning

Day #265:  Silly Wieners

Nuf said

Day #266: Black Friday (Out of Order)

So I started my Black Friday morning adventure - no way was I staying up late to go to the stores - at Nordstrom Rack.  As you can see from this pic 10 mins before the store opens, not a hot spot to be.  I was initially disappointed because there were not any big sales, nothing much better than the usual until...

My trusty shopping side kick.  Her choice of store was initially Petco because we could have got free antlers, but it was not open early enough, so we went to Petsmart instead.

Until...at Nordstrom Rack I found a green dot which said I wan a $50 gift card!  Yahoo.  I found something to buy with my new found wealth :)

Day #267: Penny's Black Friday purchases

What Penny walked away with from Petsmart.  New winter toy and awesome fleece on sale!

Day #268: New headband

New headband came on my gym bag that I bought at Nordstrom Rack w/ my $50 gift card.

Day #269: Hot and Tired

Me after a long run on the weekend.  At this point, I am usually contemplating why I waited to get up and run, because I'm so flippin' hot by the end of it.  Likely the end of one of my 16 milers.
But I did survive.

Day #270: They're here!

Candy Cane Joe Joes and returned.  Delicious and vegan!  Say What?!!
Even worse for you and more delicious - are the dark chocolate covered candy cane joe joes (not vegan).

Day #271: More Tucson Charm

Breakfast outside with Penny and Megan.  If you look closely - you can see me in the mirror in the back of the room.

Day #272: A trip down memory lane

Our first Christmas with the wieners.  Penny almost died right before this shot was taken as she launched herself from Santa's lap and nearly broke her neck on the cement floor in Petsmart.  Yet I still handed her back to Santa for this photo op.  I know I'm a good mom :)

Ok - enough catching up for now.  More to come :)
My goal is to complete the catch up by New Years.
I don't want to do too much at once and bore you ;)

Day #255: catch up days are coming

I know I have been slacking, but I will blame it on all the running.

I will do some catch up days hopefully before the new year, since it was my new years resolution last year to post a picture a day.  I promise I am still taking pictures.

So here's one for you for now.
This is from my xmas present - a new camera :)

Day #254: 1/2 Marathon Pics

Here are pics from the half marathon Sarah and I did last weekend.  They posted them online yesterday.
I promise to catch up on my blogging in the nearish future.  I'm busy with work and trying to find a job for next year.  :)

Nearing the finish line!

We made it!  :)  Sarah's arms are held up like the Rockford park logo that we used to run by all the time when we were in Rockford!

Day #253: I'm still here

I'm still here and I do have pictures to share.  plenty of them.  I've been blogger lazy, but for good reason.
Today I ran my first 1/2 marathon!  :)
Pictures to follow once the race people post them online.
Instead you can see me icing my knees post race.  They don't hurt too bad, but I know icing them will make them feel better.  I have a little low back pain as well.  Sarah ran with me and we had fun this morning, despite the low 40 degree weather at the start of the race.  Brr....

Post-race, I came home and relaxed on the couch, took a nap, ate, and relaxed some more.  Soooo tired.  I think it's bedtime (8:30pm).

Day #251: New addition to the running outfit

Now that I'm running before the sun comes up - I have to be able to see!
There's also a little flashy light that I hook to my backside so people can see me from behind.
