Finally!! pics from San Diego

As promised - pictures from my trip to San Diego with Sarah, Bart, and Penny.

Lucky for me Sarah drove the WHOLE way, so I could knit and chat.  I knitted the sweater below for Bart.  The neck is a little big and his legs pop out of the arm holes.  It was originally meant for Penny, but I made it too big, lucky for me Bart is a bigger boy than my little girl.

Oh so cute!

Penny and I outside Starbucks - having a bagels, coffee, and enjoying free internet.

P&B's favorite place in San Diego - Dog Beach

Can you see them - running off together.

Bart likes the water, Penny - not so much.

but she'll model on the beach for you if you ask her too ;)

This is Penny froliking through a giant kelp bed.  She LOVED it.  She was bounding through as happy as could be.  Crazy, stinky, little dog.

Dog Paddle - kayaking trip with the dogs.  Penny looked out over the edge 2x's during the whole trip.

Amazing breakfast.  Sooooo yummy we had to go twice.

Baking class - learning to make bread.  We learned to make homemade pizza dough, sourdough (we left with a sourdough starter that is still alive in my fridge), and challah bread (which we have reproduced since being home and it was amazing!)

Leaving cups - which is a cupcake bakery.  As we were walking out the owner asked if we wanted some of the cupcakes as it was the days end.  We said yes and 4 free cupcakes later here I am.  A happy girl.

Happy Birthday Sarah!  Free pumpkin brûlée breakfast cupcake in bed :)

Bike ride tour!

There's your quick recap.

Happy Belated Thanksgiving and catch up

Yeah....so surprise surprise - I disappeared again.  Want to hear my excuse?  Well, I went to San Diego for a week after NYC and then I got a little sick - sore throat and a cough.  Once I got back to Tucson, I was still tired from my cold and I had a TON of laundry to do and lots of things to catch up with at work. So that's why I've been MIA.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I spent the day with Sarah and her parents and all our doggies.  It was a wonderfully relaxing day filled with delicious food.

Ok, here you go - picture recap from what you missed out on.

A trip to Macy's - of course!  After we walked through a not so nice part of town.  Oh well, it was worth it!

Red stairs at Times Square!

Yahoo....Broadway!

Mom - 2nd in line!

Billy Elliot tickets!

30 Rock xmas tree - just put up!

30 rock building...we went up to the top!

View from the top.  Beautiful Central Park with changing of leaves.

Empire State Building

Family photo op.  This took FOREVER to get right.  We kept asking people to take our picture and they would just get us without the pretty landscape in the background.

San Diego pictures to come!

Quick Recap.  With only a few photos.  Will add more later.  Literally about to run out the door to dinner and then to Billy Elliot!

Dad and I in front of The Met.  Dancing waters...

Yummy NYC hotdog lunch on the steps of the Met.

Central Park

Central Park - view from the castle.
Oh how I miss fall, living in Tucson.

Highline park - a park built on an old above street level railroad, located a block from where we are staying.

Obvious.  But notice the level of grey smog at approximately skyline level.

Audiotour at Ellis Island.  Happy Family!

NYC - still here

We are still here - out and about and having fun!
Haven't had a chance to post lately due to the above and slow Internet.
I'll try to post this afternoon/evening of possible.
There's a little scheduled downtime in our day, but somehow that tends to disappear pretty quickly!

Have a good day!
