We are still here - out and about and having fun!
Haven't had a chance to post lately due to the above and slow Internet.
I'll try to post this afternoon/evening of possible.
There's a little scheduled downtime in our day, but somehow that tends to disappear pretty quickly!
Have a good day!

We made it! NYC vacation has now begun.
Here is our photo tour of the first part of day #1.
Dinner is still to come and maybe a walk on highline park.

Fall Family Craft Fillozes Day O'Fun
First - woah - that is one big dog butt!! I didn't realize that it would be so big when posting from my iphone. Hopefully, it'll make for some good vacation photos soon.
Ok - on to Fall Family Craft Fillozes Day O'Fun. I made a quick trip home about a month ago to surprise both my gma and my dad and for a day filled with fun.
First up was making Portuguese donuts. Let's just say, I messed up the recipe, but we ended up saving it. No it was not as good as the one's grandma makes, but they still ended up pretty good. Part of the trouble, as grandma said was there were too many cooks in the kitchen.
Next up - Fall craft - 5 minute pumpkins, NOT, more like 30 minute pumpkins.

Colby mixing our batter. Whip it, whip it good!
Our recent college grad, making donuts as you can see is very serious business. So is the fear of burning yourself with hot oil!
A gooey one, just the way Aunt Ed likes them. But...since she was too cool for Fall Family Craft Fillozes Day O'Fun and instead as at Disneyland, I ate the gooey donut instead. Yum!
I will admit - Colby is the best donut maker in the family, after grandma that is!
Here you see a master at work, spreading out the dough so nicely.
mmm....mmmm....mmmm... good
My mom found a tutorial online for these quick and easy pumpkins. Well let's just say they weren't as easy as the blogger made it sound. But...we put our heads together and found a way to make it work, as you can see below:
Cute!

Butt Curls!
Lazy dog. I'm posting this from my phone so we'll see how it works out. This is a practice post I'm hoping it works because I have vacation coming up & want to share pics as I go!

The Desert Museum
A few weeks ago, after living in Tucson for over a year, I finally made a trip to the Sonoran Desert Museum.
Here is what I saw:
Here is what I saw:
There are many, many, many different types of rattlesnakes.
Another rattler. I didn't take pictures of the tarantulas, scorpions, giant bugs, etc.
There were other nice animals like hummingbirds - which moved too fast for me to capture on camera.
Beautiful Desert-scape.
My favorite exhibit - the prairie dogs!
They are so cute how they eat dead grass with their little hands.
nibble, nibble, nibble
And for my mom - A quail - one of her favorite birds, with the little boppers on their heads!

90 degree fall
Sorry, I disappeared for the last month. My reason is working 12hr + days 6 days per week x 4 weeks - with one quick trip home. That equals one tired girl and very little time for blogging.
On my day off today, I went to a pumpkin patch just outside of Tucson with Sarah, BJ, and her 2 kids. Fun pics below. And yes it was 90 degrees outside. I was sweating! Gross. Not fall like at all!
Farm fun. This is before we made our way through the corn maze!
Braxton with his perfect pumpkin. You can't see it, but the back is all wrinkly!
Through the pumpkin patch. I can't remember the last time I went to a pumpkin patch, but I don't remember it being this brown.
Sarah, Braxton, Annaliese and me with our lovely pumpkins!
YaY Fall!
